Re: [now obsolete] plugin inventory

@uli, yeah, translations often times don’t give you the true picture.

@etc, textpattern.ru is makss site, from what I’ve looked up. txplife.ru is new to me, came online in 2012.

Thanks, sorry to deviate.

I’d say, both are users sites, textpattern.ru is a bit older, as far as I remember, but looks outdated (4.0.6?). Neither can be called “official”, given their content. Edit: but if I had to choose, that would be textpattern.ru, the other one is more in the Txpbuiders class.

The examples should be external links, not from the forum root.

makss has a site in english where you can find patchs for older plugins, like rss_unlimited_categories.

I’m not sure, where have you found it? The oldest registered and most active user is Evgueny, makss has joined three years later.

Thanks, fixed.

Re: [now obsolete] plugin inventory

Re. all spf_* plugins:

  • spf_codemirror = supported and useable (new version for 4.6+ coming very soon).
  • spf_js = supported and useable (new version for 4.6+ coming very soon) – note, this replaces stm_javascript with Stanislav’s blessing.
  • spf_if_eu = not supported and no plans to update.
  • spf_ext = not supported and no plans to update.

Plus a couple of new plugins coming very soon:

Note: ‘very soon’ means by the end of November 2015 – I have a backlog of work to wade through first.

Re: [now obsolete] plugin inventory

This discussion makes me wonder, if it was not better to maintain a central repository for plugins, similar to an app store. Developers could submit or uploads plugins to that repository, and users could be certain to find the right plugin for the respective Textpattern versions. The app store manager could make small compatibility changes to plugins, so that they are apt for a new Textpattern version. So, what about a managed Github Textpattern plugin repository?

The inventory relevant to this thread is just an inventory, not meant to be a repo in itself, but to help seed whatever actual “plugin-base” might come along, if one ever does. In the meantime, it can be useful in terms of knowing what plugins are supported, what they do, etc. But only if the long list is properly flagged and tagged. And that takes some work that isn’t seeing a lot of attention. /same ol’ song/

But, to your question. There has been similar discussion, I think?

Re: [now obsolete] plugin inventory

My plugins are now compatible with the upcoming 4.6 version as well. All listed plugins are supported, even though most of them don’t really require any maintenance.
