TXP Themes

TXP Themes is based on the Bootstrap framework, we currently have 12 mobile-friendly responsive themes.

Licensed under Apache License v2.0 or CC BY 3.0, the footer will indicate which one.

The themes are broken up into the same categories as We Love TXP :

Business

Community

Media

Personal

  • Cover – Simple wallpaper desktop site
  • Blog – The Blog, all ready to go with article tags

Technology

  • Jumbotron – Nice simple project info site
  • Agency – The spiffy agency page, modals for the showcase

Bootstrap is a feature rich framework, I like it a lot after using it for just 2 months. Lucky for me that I came upon this framework at a time when free Templates are readily available, so I’ve been able to create Themes quite easily. Bootstrap has matured quite nicely, Phil showed some interest in it 3 years ago.

Some Themes already have dynamic content tags, like the Blog and Thumbnails, the rest will get updates over time. Since these Themes are live sections, adding live articles and images introduces some navigational concerns that I need to address, like categories.

Enjoy, this has been my 7 weeks of penance ;)

Gracias bici, maniqui and maverick.

It refers to the image, rather than it being a 1 col content area.

The images will expand to fit the width of a tablet in portrait mode, so if you view the 1, 2 and 3 col themes like that, they all look 1 col.

Re: TXP Themes

Hi Bert

Good job, the themes look great, and bootstrap is a good framework (i prefere Zurb Foundation for my works).

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you sir.

Downloaded Zurb to have a look, weighs in about the same as Bootstrap, will try out one of their templates.

Re: TXP Themes

Thank you for your wonderful work Bert.

I am wondering if anyone has done a New York Times Website fly out menu with Textpattern and Bootstrap as i am looking for just such a feature. I can throw some money at it as well.

Re: TXP Themes

TXP Themes has moved, it’s new and hopefully permanent home is TXPThemes.com.

The original post on this thread has been updated with the new URLs, I’ll go around the forum today and see where I may need to update more posts.

The Themes took on a life of their own, and basically took over the TXPTag.com domain, which caused me to move my blog elsewhere. With the themes out of the way, TXPTag.com returns to it’s job of Marketing, you know, telling people how wonderful Textpattern is and how WordPress is not.

Re: TXP Themes

Hey Bert, it’s nice to have the TXPThemes site when I’m now looking at overhaul my 2009 version to the responsive era :). A lot to learn for now.

Re: TXP Themes

Thanks again for all your good works! i am trying to implement the Agency Theme, and i am having a Brain Spasm as i cannot get the Contact form to work? i get an error: “Sorry , it seems that my mail server is not responding. Please try again later!” Do i need to add some contact.php form? or??

Updated: i notice that in the JS file contact_me.js there is a line –

$.ajax({
                url: "././mail/contact_me.php",
                type: "POST",
do we need to create a contact_me.php file?
