No, and I don’t expect to, even if my email was read and acted on. Jacques and his one helper seem to have taken an incommunicado approach to business communication. Troubling, but that’s what’s on the surface.

Having laboriously reconstructed a client’s websites from an unresponsive host last year, I feel for you guys+girls. I hope you are taking regular backups of sites and emails because the fact that you’re having to discuss this here is not a good sign.

Before TextDrive II went down I could see the signs on the wall and moved to DigitalOcean and then to WebFaction, which I’ve found to be a great choice.

Yeah. My own site has been “down for road work” for a few years now so I’m not worried about that. :)
But the CSF site is being sponsored by Kaizen (an exchange for my documentation contributions back), and that worries me. That’s one reason I’m sharing it on Github, so there’s some aspect of salvage there (yes, I take regular dumps, er…). We need a new web host sponsor; someone in the hosting business.

First, gratitude to Destry for pointing me here… had noticed Jacques dropped-off Google Hangouts & the site is in Guru Meditation… but, was in denial that this meant something bad.

It’s been a wild ride since joining TextDrive, but I now need to move my email & sites to a more stable environment. <strike>Any recommendations for site hosting?</strike>. Signed-up for Webfaction.

I, of course, will be interested to see if KG resumes communication. Jacques did try very hard to honor the obligations made by Dean. Perhaps there are legal issues hampering the new effort.

Having watched for any activity at KZG and seen none, I’ve moved over to Pair while I still could access my files. Coming round to check for updates after my migration, even though my TXP site is only dormant in the sense that a fossil is resting, I eventually made my way to this discussion. (For what it’s worth, upgrade was smooth and easy, as always. Thanks, team!)

Gotta say, it’s kind of nice to see lots of familiar names still here.

My sites are down. Email stopped early Saturday morning.

So sad this whimpered out…

I got another invoice on Friday, but there is no avenue for paying it as the Kaizen site is inaccessible. Pretty sure Jacques must realize that.
