Or set up themes.textpattern.com? Since that could conceivably cover both admin and the proposed public themes.

That’s a clean solution.

Re: textgarden.org expired - backup plan needed

OK, I move that we let textgarden.org expire proper. So, no real work involved.

When the theme spec is signed off and there are working themes available en masses, then that can be linked, from themes.textpattern.com or similar.

Once “Themes” are a reality, I’m going to start making txp:themes in earnest, but I’d like to host them on my own site.

A Central repository is not going to work, the plugins site is a testament to that ideal. What I would propose is a directory of sorts, a resource, a helpful site to get one up and running. Links to “Theme” developers, links to plain “HTML” template sites for the roll it your own crowd, and the tutorials, yes plenty of those.

Agree also but can’t do much, I should find some time to work on the .fr first… I also hope to get my own site with nice themes in the future.

theme.textpattern.com sounds good.
Forget about textgarden (there was way too much obsolete content anyway, last I checked)

+1 — Put new theme content on .com and let Textgarden rest with its maker.

Re: textgarden.org expired - backup plan needed

Donald Swain is in residence at the moment, keeping the lights on. We’ll oust him when there’s some themes available, and a system in core to use them.

btw, if anyone wants to mock up a Themes site or something, I’m sure Phil would be grateful. Just give him a shout and he’ll fill you in on any branding direction. The site doesn’t have to have any real themes available to be designed, though there are admin themes knocking around as test content, since that’s half of the equation.

I’d be most interested in this branding direction, I could make my TXP related sites, like the Planet feeds site, look more inline with the new look. I’m not saying to mimic it, but to match colors, fonts, etc. Like the planet site has the Classic admin theme colors, before Hive was created.

For me it’s just a parked empty page by godaddy. Are you seen more from your end?

Full site is back. Your DNS might be stale, sir.

This is very strange!!!! But first let me correct my previous post. I have ABP installed on all my browsers so I could only see an empty page. Disabling it I see godaddy’s parked domain page which is full of adds. I also checked the site with page speed and the content is exactly what I see on visiting the site. So indeed this is strange for me.

The whois is showing a 2-year renewal: whois.domaintools.com/textpattern.org
