Mac Game Shuffle gets a makeover
I just updated a hobby site of mine called Mac Game Shuffle. It uses the MixItUp jQuery plug-in for the the shuffle effect, and flexbox CSS to make it responsive. Should work as intended if your browser is up to date. This site has been withering on the vine for a few years, so I had to weed out a lot of bad links and discontinued games. But I was able to add in a few as well. Constructive criticism appreciated.

Very nice indeed!
The About + Contact link doesn’t work for me.

That’s weird — it’s just a plain old link. It’s wrapped in button tags, but that shouldn’t make a difference. Can you tell me which browser and OS you’re using?

Nice job mwr! Cool to learn about the MixItUp jQuery plugin too. The About/Contact button works just fine on Safari 8.07/Chrome 43.0.2x for Mac…so maybe its just Yiannis who can’t see it ;)

Right… Exactly what I didn’t need to see, free games… :-(. Nice set up, works smoothly here (S.8 / 10.10).
BTW, that failing link: Firefox is right, <button><a href="">foo</a></button>
is invalid HTML; and the default action/behaviour of button
swallows the behaviour of the link.
The element a must not appear as a descendant of the button element.
You should be able to replace it with a span
with exactly the same formatting as your buttons and all should be fine.
PS – you also should remove the old Firefox/Webkit flex-box properties; neither old Firefox nor old Safari support row wrapping, which makes the whole page hard to use (one very very long row). Let them have the display: inline-block
fall back.

Thanks, phiw13 — I took your advice and got the link working in Firefox. Also made the change on display.
