A workaround is to subscribe to the RSS topic feed (link at the bottom of the page).
(I still don’t receive emails, I still receive news via RSS feed)

Re: [forum] subscription mail broken & change email address is confusing
Uli,
link don’t work because … the admin delete my account d55org
It was a mail sent by me (d55org/jpdupont)
The post content was :
I created a new user d55org with one of those email account who don’t work, and all is OK since a few days. I get all notifications. So the bug IMHO is not in the mail provider, but in the database record.
CeBe,
Yes RSS, but the forum must give us notifications. I don’t like those hacks … If Stef, or Ruud, or Phil had this problem it would have been solved long ago :-))

Hi JP, Another way is to change your email with the one you have used for the d55org user. I don’t know if it will work but it is good to check it.

Challenge accepted ;) I’m already onto something.
FluxBB uses language-dependent templates to build the notification message. It comes with templates for English, and nothing else.
It looks like there’s an issue with FluxBB which causes it to omit notifications for any user who has their language set to an inexistent language.
jpdupont’s language setting is ‘Francais’. FluxBB does not provide any mail templates for ‘Francais’ and thus fails to notify you.
Veteran users were able to choose between alternative languages as these were provided in earlier versions of PunBB (FluxBB’s predecessor). This setting is no longer visible on a user’s profile page – we now have just one meager language to “choose” from.
Newly created user accounts default to the only available language “English” and get notifications.
Proposal: Let me try to change jpdupont’s language setting back to English and see how this goes.

I have now forced all members to use ‘English’ as their language setting. Notifications should work as expected.
Please report any further problems here or there.

Thanks wet.
Until now I have not received any notification. I’m sure my email account works.
Did you forget to change it in my account? I suspect that I had defined there German and / or Spanish years ago.
