Preparing tables for Textile
Edit: Forget the converter I previously posted here. The tool of choice exists on txstyle.org: Table converter
Edit 2: ax added another table converter, also found on txstyle.org: txstyle.org/csv2textile.php
Maybe I’m not the only one to easily loose control of table code in Textile. [For preparing these online there’s a nifty tool at least for Markdown, whose table code is very similar to Textile’s, www.tablesgenerator.com/markdown_tables
The table generator accepts CSV files and paste actions, and tables can be edited visually before copying the code. After copying, simply remove the second line (Markdown’s column-wise cell alignment) and, where necessary, enter additional Textile markup.

Not until today I found this CSV/tabbed text -> Textile converter on txstyle.org.

Re: Preparing tables for Textile
This does not always work. For longer tables, there is another tool on TxStyle.org that appears to be more reliable.
