[docs] shift clicking in lists
I’ve altered explanations for marking ranges of articles (formerly known under the flavour “Range Button”) by shift-clicking checkboxes. I’ve no GitHub account (and don’t plan to have one too soon) so can’t add to the docs there.

Old hat actually and I’ve always forgotten to post it but each time it’s nice to have. Have you guys tried shift-clicking checkboxes in admin list pages? If you haven’t go play. Articles, images, comments, plugins, even forms can be shift-clicked.

Re: [docs] shift clicking in lists
I wanted to write, “wow, after more than 20 years with the computer, I didn’t know that”. But it didn’t work. Later I find out that first I have to press and hold the shift key an then select the ranges of articles (on Mac OS X).
Thanks for the tip.

That’s weird. I tried once more, in all major browsers for Mac OS X plus Opera, and for me click & shift-click works everywhere (i.e. normal click, then press and hold shift while clicking again).
The docs should explain it correctly. Can others please confirm what’s working for them? Thanks!

I don’t know what happened yesterday. Whether I dreamed? But I had tried it several times! Today, both methods work.

Ah, that’s great, then. Otherwise selecting two separate blocks wouldn’t work. You need four clicks for doing that, and on your third click your selection would simply be extended when holding down shift.
