getting newsletter to subscribers
One of my client is having more and more trouble getting its newsletters to all of his subscribers (gmail is quite fast to throw it away).
How are you dealing with this problem with your clients ?
Any advice on what kind of process you have set ?

MailChimp?

Yeah, I know.
But I am trying to figure out a simpler solution, before going into “the return of the revange” of third-party integration into postmaster…
Any other thoughts ?

MailChimp gets my vote too. It’s incredibly easy to integrate and is nice to use. I recommend it to all my clients.
Lots of layout templates available or you can simply create your own.

+1 for MailChimp. They’re very good at what they do.
Google Groups, perhaps. Assuming Google don’t get bored with it and turn off, of course.

Could you elaborate on how you integrate ?

Sure, the quick way or you can use their API if you want to do more in-depth integration.
Or, Gocom previously offered to build a proper CMS integration, at a price. If enough people chipped in that could still happen. I’d put some money towards it.

Quick way is out of the question for my client. Leaving it to API.
Or may be rss-to-email if i can make sure my client get control on what is being sent.

In fact that would be the best way to go. If we find 3 to 5 client (mine will certainly be in it) willing to chip in we could found Gocom to make it. What do you think ?

May be that could make the boost to textpattern. What is you opinion on this Gocom ?

Re: getting newsletter to subscribers
I never liked mailchimp’s pricing plans. I find that the jump from free (<2000 subscribers) to paid (<50,000 subscribers) to be a con as it does not cater for small dbs which are under 10000. Furthermore I never understood their credit system.

Unfortunately I don’t. I still use postmaster and an older txp version because of it.
