Textpattern on Plesk Parallels
Plesk Parallels has a feature that allows applications to be installed on the server on which it runs. Textpattern is available on this platform, but is outdated (4.2.0) and insecure.
I’ve contacted Yulia Litvinceva at apsstandard.org and she has advised that Textpattern will be updated; progress can be tracked on that site above and the ticket reference is #1841875.
The net result will be that 4.2.0 will be replaced in the installable packages list, not an automatic update for all installations.

Cheers Pete!

Re: Textpattern on Plesk Parallels
Only thing we can do is contact Parallels and hurry them along – Pete raised a support ticket. Being a Plesk user myself and judging by their previous ‘support’ I’d not expect an update anytime soon.

As this got bumped (I assume there was some spam reported), I’ve sent a follow-up email about the ticket I opened.

Re: Textpattern on Plesk Parallels
Update: this ticket was clearly filed under ‘too difficult’ because Textpattern has disappeared from the app directory.

Already did – haven’t had a reply in 3+ weeks.

That doesn’t surprise me. Parallels support is virtually non-existant. Pray Plesk never goes wrong.
