[solved] Write access to Index on textpattern.net

I’ve just spotted a text error on the front page of textpattern.net. Also, the {{Work in progress}} stub needs updating to reflect the new URL for the forum.

Both are trivial for me to fix, and I’d be happy to do it if someone could give me the rights to edit the front page and the stubs, please. Thank you.

We should just remove the index permission limitation if possible. Everyone with account can edit the index page regardless as it uses templates and the restriction does not actually protect anything.

Even if the permission restriction couldn’t be turned off in the wiki software, it can still be bypassed by putting the whole index page markup to a template. I personally don’t have access to the wiki, so I can not myself do this.

If I can edit the template, I will – I couldn’t track it down on the wiki and the oh-so-useful Edit button is missing for me on the Index page.

And thanks for correcting my flub in the title. You’re getting a bit too much practise at that task with me, recently.

Hi Pete, I don’t know how to remove the restriction but you can find the templates through ‘All Pages’ (bottom of the page menu), and then choose namespace ‘Template’.
These are the templates used on the index page:

That short introduction paragraph isn’t part of templates. Its in the ‘Index’ page contents that is restricted to admin accounts (Bloke, Els, Destry and Nabrown78, I believe).
