[solved] <title> separators on textpattern.com
Have the <title>
separators on textpattern.com been removed or broken?
This is the <title>
on the Textpattern system requirements page, which includes some zero-width spaces, I think:
<title>System requirements About Textpattern CMS</title>
Could that perhaps include some punctuation, like this:
<title>System requirements | About | Textpattern CMS</title>
..or maybe this:
<title>System requirements – About – Textpattern CMS</title>
It’d make it look much, much nicer in search engine results pages and <title>
tags are very important to search engine optimisation.
Thank you in advance.

Re: [solved] <title> separators on textpattern.com
Someone used
as separator without reading specs; it’s not an entity for dash.
is soft hyphen and only shows up if the text actually breaks to second line. Otherwise it’s hidden and is rendered as zero-width space. I’ve now changed the separator to –
.

Bumping this thread: Textgarden would benefit from the separator fix:

TextGarden a third-party community site maintained by Stuart. You may need to contact him directly if he isn’t actively reading this forum.
(Textpattern doesn’t have front-end themes system, so we can’t endorse them ourselves with clean conscience as a official [non-]feature).
