Blacklist or blocklist?

Is it appropriate to switch the blacklist references in Admin -> Prefs to blocklist instead? Perhaps it’s political correctness overkill, I don’t know. What do you think?

Spamhaus, the vendor whose lists are included in Textpattern by default, refer to their own lists as blocklists, the blocklist entry on Wikipedia redirects to blacklist and there’s likely a big can of worms waiting to be opened. Even my spell checker is in favour of blacklist.

With that in mind, genuine question: is blacklist the right term to use?

Allowlist :) I don’t know of any references to whitelist in Textpattern.

Re: Blacklist or blocklist?

Is there such a thing as “whitelist” in txp?

Re: Blacklist or blocklist?

OK, I’ve amended the English to ‘blocklist’ as I think that still gets the message across accurately – let others argue over the wording.

I’m not sure what ‘Zwarte Piet’ is, and I can’t find that in the NL language file anyway.

Be glad. If that was in the language file you’d have the UN all over you by now ;) Anyway, you don’t want to know (so no need to click that link).
