How to save search queries to database?

To understand better my sites visitors and what they want/search, I’d like to save the search queries they make, so later it could be possible to group the most popular search phrases etc. Could this be done somewhat easily without hacking Textpattern’s PHP files?

Hi petri, the queries are saved in the logs, so you can view them there.

Re: How to save search queries to database?

If you are using Google Analytics (or similar service), you can see them there too, and are even able to track the q query parameters specifically. You can even track the search field’s interactions and see how many users click a separate button (and not Enter or phone’s shortcut buttons), how many users search again and so on. All with Analytics’ events.
