Want a random image, but not quite completely random? Or one that rotates every hour or year? Want to only include images from a certain category? Well here you go! This simple plugin does just that. Produces an image that rotates on a defined time period. It’s just a standard plugin.

If you are having problems with the plugin, first try the ?flush=1 switch, and then leave a detailed comment or an email and I’ll try to help.

I have just asked this with respect to another plugin doing much the same thing but figured it might be worth asking here as well.

I use Dan Benjamin’s image rotation script to randomly pick out background images by using it in my CSS.

Does Textpattern allow the use of TxP tags within CSS? I would be surprised if it does but then again this program constantly amazes me so hence my question!

Don’t believe Textpattern, in its current state, does. You might be able to modify the function output_css in publish.php to parse the decoding CSS for TXP tags.

Thanks for the reply. The only change I am making to TxP at this time is the addition of plugins but I do not want to start hacking it. I have bookmarked the plugin for possible future use though.
