I have a problem with the visitor logs

I’m using the newest version of Textpattern 4.5.4 (r4919) and get some weird visitor logs.

In the past I could see the IP and host “readable”, but now I get the following.

18 Jul 2013 01:35:34 PM 2a02:120b:2c64:7 2a02:120b:2c64:79d0:543b:4b5c:9ab1:e191

I can turn DNS lookup turned on/off to no avail.

How can I get the “old” visitors log style back?

I know that this is Ipv6 adress in HEX, but that way they are useless. I thought there would be an option to get them easily back to a readable version.

IPv6 addresses are represented as eight group of four hexadecimal digits; thats what they look like. They can not be made to something that they are not.

That aside, 4.5.4 doesn’t fully support IPv6 addresses; the ip field doesn’t fit them, but only IPv4 addresses. This makes the IP column appear truncated. The other column, hostname, has zero-width spaces in it (to allow word wrap).

Both of these have been resolved in 4.6.0-dev as of r4330 and r4542.
