txp beginner - portfolio site

Hi there,

I have to be honest: coming from WP, it was not that easy to start with textpattern. By the way, I am just a “user” with only a little self-tought knowledge of html, CSS,…

borja

This is my very first try to set up a portfolio site. I like it simple, therefore not much of shiny stuff. Currently I stuck with a possibility to resize the pictures in the single view automatically to the screen size. Any hint maybe??

Cheers, borja

Looks nice!

Any lightbox script will be able to enlarge your image, if you feel confident enough to implement some JavaScript. Take a look here

Thanks Phil!

Well, the idea was to work without lightbox. I wanted no pop-up and the picture should be within the page, including the description…

How about Galleria? I’ve used that successfully in a couple of Textpattern sites before. Check out the fullscreen theme

Awesomely unobtrusive design, Boris! I love this degree of reduction!

(And hat tip re “first TXP site/just a user”.)

Very nice Borja, congratulations. I second Phil’s comments about Galleria – their themes are very good, including Fullscreen.

Re: txp beginner - portfolio site

Thanks guys – and I solved my resizing problem ;)

img {max-width:100%;}

Sometimes the solutions are so simple…
