Check file from siteadvisor not visible (using MLP)
Hello,
I’m having troubles with Siteadvisor ranking, my site was blacklisted. I contacted the website, they gave me a file to put in the root, but I cannot see it through the browser. I’m using MLP. Somehow I get a redirection to mywebsite/en and so on. Can I do some htaccess tweaking so to make this file visible to Siteadvisor spider?
Thank you very much

Hmm, a little strange. I just put a test.txt
file in the site root of my test MLP installation, browsed to site.com/test.txt
and the file showed up in the browser fine without any redirection. As far as I am aware, MLP shouldn’t rewrite anything in the site root.
A few questions:
- Do you have any other .htaccess rules set up that might be interfering?
- Are you using any redirection plugins?
- What is the file type of the file they want you to put in root?
- What permlink scheme are you using?
- (unlikely) Are there any settings in your MLP prefs that might be overriding access to root?
- Does it work if you put a simple text file in root like I did?

Thanks Bloke,
I can see the google site verification file (.html) but I cannot see the siteadvisor file (.html)
Both contain just plain text passcode.
Btw I noticed I can see index_.html, but not index__.html …
