Free Windows + IE virtual machines for testing

I’ve heard about this in the last few days, I don’t know if it’s been around for long or whether I’m just late to the party. There are downloadable Windows virtual machines with IE installed for when you want to test against IE iterations going back to IE6 on Windows XP.

It has been around for a few weeks now, and it is a continuation/expansion of the free windows VM images MS made available in the past. The difference is that now you can download VM images specially tailored and configured for your VM software (Parallels, Virtualbox, etc). Quite useful and nice from Microsoft. There are other tools on that site as well, one of them is a validator of sorts that attempts to discover if your html/css/js will work fine with IE. Not sure how well that works though.
