Great! Now please go on the admin side, under Extensions tab you will find a link etc_date. Click on New locale, then define some meaningful Name (say, fa_IR for Persian), Month names (like Farvardin,Ordibehesht,Khordad,Tir,Mordad,Shahrevar,Mihr,Aban,Azar,Day,Bahman,Esphand) and Weekday names. Save, and you should be able to call <txp:etc_date calendar="jalali" lang="fa_IR" /> for Jalali dates in Persian, or even simply <txp:etc_date /> if you save fa_IR and jalali as Defaults locale and calendar in etc_date admin tab. You can set a default date format for etc_date too.

And if you could post here the localized month/weekday names in your language(s) for future references, that would be nice. Thanks!

Re: [request] Localize Calendar Date Format

Thank you, Ramin. I realize now that rtl languages require some additional work, and I have absolutely no experience with rtl. Back to classes…

Re: [request] Localize Calendar Date Format

Bashir, that’s done, just download the latest version. :) It does not contain months names, because calendars and locales are not always tightly related, but you can set them in etc_date admin tab.
