Alter user permission
Hi at all.
I need to allow Staff Writer to edit articles of another Writer when these articles are expired.
It’s possible?

Re: Alter user permission
Stef’s smd_user_manager should allow you to do that

Re: Alter user permission
Hi Colak
I already Use smd_user_manager, and I have already set samo parameter.
Do you know while parameter I must modify to allow user edit expired articles?

Re: Alter user permission
Hi Marco, I am yet to start using the plugin so I cannot help further. A question at the forum thread would probably result in a prompt answer.

Expired articles should be editable without needing a plugin, though I must admit I’ve never tried it. There’s a pref setting regarding expiry, but I think the only thing that does is allow the public site to ‘see’ the expired articles.
That said, I guess Staff Writers can only “edit own” articles. In smd_user_manager if you select the ‘edit’ checkbox and set staff writers to be able to use it, then all Writers will be able to alter all other Writer’s documents. But maybe they’ll be able to alter other group’s articles too so be careful.

Re: Alter user permission
Hi Stef.
I have no problem with original permission between users and their articles both expired.
But I need ot allow each Staff Writer to edit his own (no problem) or someone else articles but only when those are expired.
I must hack /textpattern/include/article.php or can I write a plugin and by this to allow the editing?
