Re: bot_write_tab_customize: rearrange and style items in the write tab

Always a wonderful plugin!

I only wish this plugin was called bot_write_customize, for documentation reasons. I won’t go into them unless you want me to. ;)

Yes please “go into them”, even if my embarassing english doesn’t let me understand well what you mean :(
Anyway I know this name is too long so I’m always shortening it to bot_wtc.
Now I’m wondering if “bot_wc” would be a decent name: where I’m living it could sound quite embarassing ;)

Of course yes: you flush what you no longer need.
Sorry. I go out.

Re: bot_write_tab_customize: rearrange and style items in the write tab

@Cebe: Perfect!

Yes, I’m happy with bot_wc too. Short and er… clean.

As for my reasons, it’s simply one of clarity and consistency in docs, both in my own client docs and wiki. Also a shorter name is nice too. I use “panel” in docs. “Tabs” only makes sense when you’re in context of the Classic theme, which I find is the one most of my clients don’t use. And speaking morphologically, a tab is just the little nub of paper having the label, it’s not really the inside of the folder where, in this case, it’s more like a “panel”, as one might think of a dashboard panel. I’ve tried using “view” and “screen” and “page” before too, but not ideal for obvious reasons. Clients seem to understand ‘panel’ just fine.

On the txp side of things, since there are more non-tabbed themes by default than tabbed, we’re going with ‘panels’ in the User Manual. It still needs to be combed, but the admin-side pages will probably be updated with new images eventually and editorial changes can be made then.

So, by just using bot_write_customize (or bot_wc) it eliminates any confusion by not using the term at all. And since you have ‘write’ there already, it designates the location well enough, IMO.

Please, carry on with normal plugin discussion, not this trivial divergence.

Hehe, To tell the truth here in italy it is used in a more exhaustive sense

Er, yes you are right, I didn’t thought about it, needless to say I’m always using the classic theme.
I’ll see if I come up with a shorter name ok?

Re: bot_write_tab_customize: rearrange and style items in the write tab

After I login or do something in the back-end (admin), now I see the following message:

Internal error "Table 'mydatabase.bot_wtc' doesn't exist

Any hint what might be wrong?

That table is created with bot_wtc. Can you check via phpmyadmin if there is a table with such name there?

Well, what about bot_write_tab_customize, in this notation?

Edit: I’ve found traces of that wtc shorthand in one of my smd_user_manager’s tables, which makes me think you might have also done an sql import from any previous installation.
