What is TXP blog id for use in MarsEdit?

Trying to get MarsEdit set up for my TXP blog, and coming up against a problem that MarsEdit wast a field called blog_id to be filled, and I do not know what this field should contain.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I don’t think it has anything to do with Textpattern. I believe it is an internal blog identifier for using Marsedit on multiple blogs.

Re: What is TXP blog id for use in MarsEdit?

The Textpattern RPC server uses blog ids as sections. Enter the name of the section (e.g. ‘articles’) where you want to publish your posts. Be careful to use the desired section’s “Name” rather than the “Title”.

You can also publish to additional sections by adding your site multiple times with another section’s name as the blog_id field.

Re: What is TXP blog id for use in MarsEdit?

I gave up on using MarsEdit to post to TXP because I ran out of time. Now I’d like to try again.

If anyone is successfully using MarsEdit and TextPattern, would they mind sharing their General Settings? In particular, for System Name, System API and API Endpoint URL.

I have Other; Movable Type API; http://www.fornacalia.com/rpc/index.php

The error from my MarsEdit Network log is “txpath undefined”.

Thanks.

Re: What is TXP blog id for use in MarsEdit?

My endpoint is just /rpc/ and I have “Moveable Type” for both the other two settings. MarsEdit was a pain to get working years ago, but I though the issues it and Textpattern had with each other were dead and buried.
