Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

roughnecks, you can exclude directories from URL rewriting in the MLP preferences tab.

From memory, MLP doesn’t officially support subdirectories.

MLP does indeed not work when Txp is installed in a subdirectory, but it works perfectly well for installations in subdomains.

Hi Els, i tried adding a directory to the “path list” in the preferences tab but it seems not to be working, i still get a 404 and the link still contains the /en/ /it/ part in it.

css,js,mouffette < that’s how i did it, and mouffette should be at [site]/mouffette

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Is moufette a directory or a section? I’m not sure, but it’s possible that it only works for real directories.

It’s a real directory under /var/www/mouffette

Edit

Actually, it is working! Maybe some caching problem with my browser prevented me to see correctly
Thanks again to You, Bloke and Textpattern :D

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Hi, it’s me again :)

I finished publishing all the articles and now i see that some of them (in the MLP tab) are still showing the clone icon: here is a screenshot

Do you know what is happening?
Thanks

(edited to show the image. -Els)

Umm, nope. Probably a bug, although it removes the clone icons on my test installation. Anything special about those articles you can think of? Anything out of the ordinary that might explain why MLP thinks they’re still untranslated?

I tried altering the url-only-title and regular titles before and after the event of cloning some/all the articles — even as far as cloning a clone — and couldn’t get it to misbehave on my setup. I wasn’t meticulously thorough, so may have missed some obvious permutation.

All I can suggest at this point is you keep an eye out for if it happens again and see if you can figure out what’s different about those articles, or if the process you went through to clone them differed in some way. That might give us something to go on so I can track down where the problem is. Sorry I can’t help right now.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

The only possible cause i can think of is that, when i was translating, a couple of times i went back with the browser button and it asked me if i wanted to reload the page: my bad, i reloaded. Can this be related?
As far as concerning the type of article, they’re just as the other ones, nothing special i can think about them.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Once again it was my fault :/ There were some draft articles duplicated with the same name/content in English; i deleted them and now we’re back to normal.

Sorry and thanks for your help!

Ahhh, phew. That explains it. Thanks for letting us know. Perhaps we should document that at some point.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

I just installed Textpattern 4.5.2 on all of my sites completely forgetting that one was running the MLP. Of course it broke the whole site quite badly.

After a short shock I downloaded your pre-patched Textpattern + MLP version from this forum, which luckily brought the frontend of the site back. However, logging into the backend I am completely stuck at Admin > Preferences > Language and I am asked to update languages, clicking on Update will do nothing and there’s no way for me to navigate anywhere else in the admin interface, so I cannot apply any other upgrades of plugins. Any idea what could be causing this?

Exactly which one did you download? There are a lot of different links in this thread. You need the file linked to in this post.

Edit: I assume you installed one of maniqui’s versions. In that case, you don’t have Txp 4.5.2 anymore. If you have access to the database through phpMyAdmin, can you check the value for ‘version’ in the txp_prefs table?
