plugin lifecycle: no message when enabled

I can’t find where I’m doing something wrong.

I am updating a couple of plugin, including cbe_helpful. When this plugin is enabled, a message is usually thrown whether all is going well or an error occurs.
In the latest Textpattern version, I can’t see this message, actions are taken properly though. If there’s an error, the plugin stays disabled but the display doesn’t reflect this state and I have to reload the plugin page to see that it is still not enabled.

I think I’ve missed something obvious but I don’t know what.
Can anyone help ?

Re: plugin lifecycle: no message when enabled

Those activity messages were removed in 4.5.0 in favor of feedback-less asynchronous status toggling.

Re: plugin lifecycle: no message when enabled

I’m not sure I understand well.
Does it mean that explaining why a plugin failed to be enabled is now impossible ?
(si quelqu’un pouvait me la faire en français)

Re: plugin lifecycle: no message when enabled

Basically: Yes. What are reasons for your plugins to fail when they are enabled, for example?
