Posted "since" on future articles

<txp:posted format="since" /> on an article with a posted date in the future seems to come up with a few seconds ago.

Is that logical Captain?

It would be a lot less misleading if it returned something else (“in the future”, “not yet”, nothing?).

Could then be used to detect future-posted articles … but a <txp:if_future_article> tag would be even better.

Thanks Claire, good to know it exists!

I still think there should be a core tag for this – txp:if_expired exists, so why not if_posted / if_future?

+1. I’ve always thought this was a little confusing. I was thinking format="offset" might be a way around it, should a tag modification be looked into, rather than format="until", so it covers both bases.

Acknowledged. The “since” format as a whole is bit of a bag of rotten tomatoes. It’s not properly localized, and the supported spawn goes from a minute to days. Not whole a lot formats.
