Ah, right.
But the CMS still needs nominated, and these things usually work such that the systems with the most nominations make it to the round 2 voting. I’m sure the more nominations it gets, the better.
Probably wouldn’t hurt to sport that nomination badge on .com. Here’s the code:

We don’t do pro-bono ads on .com

Yeah, it will probably just be Drupal, Joomla, and WordPress anyway. Good call.

Re: 2012 Critic's Choice CMS Awards
No doubt the usual CMS suspects will take the glory as they do every year, but as long as we are on the final nominations list it keeps the project visible and maybe a few people that have never heard of Textpattern or moved away years ago will come try it out. I’d be happy with that.
The guy that runs CMS Critic quite likes Textpattern anyway.
Nomination done.

Re: 2012 Critic's Choice CMS Awards
I was being facetious.
Naturally I nominated. I want the Nexus 7-of-9.
It’s true, the guy is a follower of Textpattern’s activity; though it’s in his interest too. A two-way street. ;)
Frankly, I don’t see where a bit of limited (time) promotion for nominating/voting reasons is that big of deal, since it’s clear why it’s being done, and the more people aware of it the better for Textpattern.
Btw, is there a public statement somewhere about what Textpattern’s advertising and “promotional” policies are? A “press kit”? Something? Is it tied to the license? Seems to be an important piece of content that’s lacking.

Re: 2012 Critic's Choice CMS Awards
Just to offer a clarification, this is not going to be one of those “Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal” awards deals. Read my post on the Packt awards to get my take on how I think they are. These awards were put together to offer up real solutions, not just the ones with the biggest communities.
Nominating will help us make decisions on whom to short list and will enter you to win a nexus 7 tablet. This will not be done in the format of a “those with the larger communities are guaranteed to win” format, such as was done with the Packt awards. We want everyone to have a chance so we’ll consider both votes and ourselves as judges will assess relevance, contributions during the year and a number of other factors.
All I can tell you is that I can promise that the winners will be unique and it will be as fair as I can make it.
So please do get your nominations in and when the voting stage commences mid october, get voting as well. I’m always looking for feedback so if you have some suggestions, by all means please let me know.
Thanks everyone and good luck!

I like the sounds of that! Thanks for piping in, Mike.
/* Looks at Textpattern */
So if not a nominations badge, a blog post? A mention in Facebook? (I made the post in here, and tweeted it via @txpmag.) I mean… people don’t find this kind of thing from extrasensory perception alone. And as hard as it may be to believe, not everyone lives and breaths in this forum (and people that do rarely share anything beyond it). I sometimes find important threads weeks after they were posted. Pushing out to twitter isn’t the end all. I rarely read every tweet in the multiple twitter accounts I’m involved with.
You’ve got to cover the bases. Canvas the field. And if the news is project-worthy (and this is), blog post it!
Just sayin’.
