Angry Robot

Hello TXPers. I have a new one running our favourite CMS: Angry Robot

It’s not really that angry, though. It’s a new spot for my weblog, and it’s largely about tech, videogames, digital culture, and other nerd stuff.

Re: Angry Robot

I love it. But the side bar drops to the very bottom in Firefox 2.0 on Windows.

Re: Angry Robot

You know, I’m not sure what’s going on with that. It happens to me too, on the same setup, but if I reload, it goes in the right spot. Also, when I activate block level outlining in the web developer extension, the sidebar magically jumps up to where it should be. Maybe it’s haunted?

Re: Angry Robot

I like the orange header. Other than that everything is simple. But the simplicity makes it attractive.

Re: Angry Robot

OK, that sidebar thing is fixed now, I think.

Re: Angry Robot

Cool site, very simple and offers some pretty interesting reading. I will have to keep an eye on it now for some fresh reading!

You are pulling your sidebar stories in from RSS I presume?

Re: Angry Robot

Thanks, glad you like! Yeah, I had a really cluttered site before and I wanted to simplify, simplify, simplify.

For the links, I use delicious. At first I was using the txpicious plugin but it had some issues where the latest posts weren’t showing up. So now I just use the delicious javascript include, and it works fine. Still need to tweak the styles a little though.

Re: Angry Robot

Rather than post again with this same site I thought I’d dredge up this old thread to mention a fresh redesign:

Angry Robot

on top of the latest TXP, which is really, really nice – thanks guys!
