[request] retrieve content from google docs

i would like to update content in a google docs spreadsheet, and have that show up on my site. i understand this is possible with php, but a plugin to make it a bit easier to connect to the docs, as well as options for things like how many rows/columns to display.

Check if smd_xml or etc_query could be useful in retrieving data. If you have a public spreadsheet to test, feel free to ask for help here.
