When Gerhard gets a spare moment to come up for air and he contacts us, we’ll hash out where the boundaries lie and then plan this thing out. It’ll be a rocky road, but I’m confident the end result will be more like this than this.

Me too, but I felt it may not have addressed the current requirement which, surely is to get glz_cf functionality into TXP 4.5 so that its take up into operational sites doesn’t remain stunted, especially given the security imperatives.

2 questions

Is this plugin working on txp 4.5.1?
Is it compatible with rah external output plugin?

I am working on a project which I will need to create a custom xml page with lots of meta-data so the 10 custom_fields will not be enough.

I personally haven’t try it yet on 4.5
Yes it works great without any problems in rah_external_output forms/snippets

It hasn’t been updated for the 4.5 branch of Textpattern, but I’ve upgraded a few sites that depend on this plugin and I haven’t run into any problems yet— I guess I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

I will, but don’t hold your breath. I am still working on the project which we hope to launch early next year.

So, judging from Tye’s, John Stephen’s and photonomad’s posts, you can apparently at least install 4.4.1, set up glz_cf to use what will work under 4.5.0+ (text areas, text inputs, radios and select menus), and then upgrade TXP.
