Re: Feedback to: Textpattern 4.5.0 Beta released

I am using rah_outgrowing_textarea. I don’t know if there’s a connection there or not with the new changes.

v0.6 of rah_autogrowing_textarea indeed does have compatibility issues with Textpattern 4.5.0; its styling and JavaScript changes. These compatibility issues should be causing jumping (on 16 pixels range) when textarea’s height is re-calculated.

That said, the current development version of rah_autogrowing_textarea should work with the beta.

Edit. fixed broken link, project location moved.

No it shouldn’t. Why would anyone want this?

OK, r4039 makes the Classic/Remora alerts more noticeable. I’ll deal with Hive as a separate entity.

Thanks Phil, the green (success) is much more noticeable now – but I’m getting white text on wishy-washy yellow & red for warning & error. Using r4040.

r4042 fixes the message pane colouring – in Classic/Remora/Hive. No excuses not to notice it now! Thanks.

@Robert.

I just notice that:
from the login page it seems that the “reset informations message” is shown even if I reset the password for a unknown author (author name not into the database).

Re: Feedback to: Textpattern 4.5.0 Beta released

If I download textpattern-4.5.0-beta.tar.gz again, will all the changes mentioned in this thread be applied? Is it like the nightly build?

The nightly build has all the changes up to last midnight GMT. The beta is a snapshot taken on 2012-07-30.

A security feature done right. Otherwise you can use the resetting form to fish out valid usernames. Log in related forms should never specify which of the fields are incorrect.

Re: Feedback to: Textpattern 4.5.0 Beta released

Downloaded fresh and building a new website from scratch. One thing that is driving me crazy: the new UI overall is great, but there should really be :focus states added to the buttons. Tabbing through fields is infuriating as I cannot see what the heck I’m doing.

Also, this appears in more than one theme CSS file:

a {
	outline: 0;
}

and this:

button,
input[type="reset"],
input[type="submit"],
input[type="button"],
.action-create a,
.navlink,
.navlink-active,
.txp-buttons a {
	outline: 0;
}

I’ve removed it on my CSS, but this inhibits accessibility and is not really necessary.

Declared :focus states would also go a long way in helping navigation.

Hi all.

That’s off topic. Just for fun, here is a movie : playing with CSS transitions on the beautiful Remora theme.
