TXP suddenly stuck on comment preview loop
Help! All of a sudden, comments can’t be posted!
Pressing submit acts as if you’ve pressed submit again. I’ve not changed a thing, it was working 2 hours ago!

seems ok
I just posted a testing comment.
Maybe it is your cookies. Did you try it using another browser?

Maybe someone else can post something from here to confirm that it is your setup…

Just a thought… you did not ban yourself by mistake did you?
Or are using a software like Little Snitch to block your computer “phoning home”?

Update: it appears to be related to the name used.
“Ross Harvey” – fails with loop
Tried “Ross”, which worked for a while, now fails
Now using “Ross H”, and expecting it to fail soon.
Tested on multiple browsers too.
How on earth can I fix that!?

Any change you are trying to post a comment message you have posted previously? Textpattern blocks duplicate comments site-wide. Any comment that shares the same client IP, the author name and the message is considered as a duplicate and blocked without any visible feedback.

There’s a chance they could be similar, as I’m usually thanking people for the comments.
I just tried using a previously problematic name, and worded a unique reply and it posted. Perhaps you have the answer. I’ll keep trying, making sure the replies are each different to see if it happens again.
