Limit to file upload size?
Is there an upper limit to the size of files uploaded under the Files tab?
I am on Textdrive server, and just upgraded to Textpattern 4.0.4.
I am unable to upload a 2.1 Mb pdf, although I am able to upload smaller sizes with no problem.
Maybe it is a timeout problem, as I am on dialup. (?) – [EDIT: No, I just tried on hi speed connection, had same problem.]
I try to upload a file like I always do, and things seem to be working, and after about 13 minutes, the file upload page refreshes like it normally would, but the new file is not listed (yes I remembered to look on page 2).
Advice and suggestions welcome,
tjallen
PS Yes I have seen this FAQ for 4.0.4, but the problem described there does not seem to be the same as my problem:

Have you tried changing the file size limit in Preferences > Advanced ?
The default is approx. 2MB.

Martin,
Thank-you so much! That was it! I don’t know how I missed it.

Re: Limit to file upload size?
I’m also having file limit issues. I tried to change the max upload value, but it reset itself to 2097152 bytes, I imagine because of something with the PHP. Is there any way to change this?

I think you would need to speak to your host as the size you have posted is a general default limit.

Re: Limit to file upload size?
You can also FTP your file to the files folder, the ‘Files’ screen will then show a new select box labeled ‘Existing file’ and you can add it from there.

Re: Limit to file upload size?
What did you change in htaccess? Ive increased the values in php.ini but in textpattern admin the file upload limit wont go higher than 8388608.
Using xampp
