Stop error_log from building up?

Hi all,

I have a problem with the error_log file in the root folder. It keeps logging some errors (which don’t affect site functionality) and quickly builds up into a huge file – about 500 Mb in 2 weeks so I have to go and delete it all the time, because it fills up my hosting space.

Is there a way to stop logging those errors?

Thanks

Um, square wheels can get your going, but circular work better. Finding out the cause of the errors, and then fixing it or fine tuning the error reporting settings wouldn’t be bad idea instead of fixing a sinking ship with a bucket.

Echoing Robert, which errors?

Re: Stop error_log from building up?

Hi guys, sorry for the pause! And thanks for suggestions

The errors are related to MLP system:

[14-May-2012 21:02:22] PHP Strict Standards: Non-static method MLPLanguageHandler::is_valid_short_code() should not be called statically in /home/ihkievua/public_html/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(594) : eval()'d code on line 569

and the same line is being repeated many times
