Font changing mid-post

Some posts that I have imported go along and at some point the font becomes bold or changes sizes without any evidence of the change in the code. Porting the article to Expression Engine, Wordpress, and Moveable Type does not yield this result, only Textpattern, but the code does not have any corresponding command to change visible so I am having a hard time figuring where it is coming from. I shifted my site over to Wordpress to avoid the problem but frankly the thing I’d rather avoid is Wordpress.

Any ideas what is going on? Is this common?

I’d guess this is Textile. In the Write tab, try setting one article’s menu for Article Markup to “Leave text untouched”, save the article and then click “PreView”.
