Textpattern + LemonStand = Winning e-commerce?
I’d like to think so, anyway, because I’ve always made it a point in my life to buy lemonade from every stand I come across.
Whosover merges the two will be rich — RICH — I tell you.

Destry – I have not used, taken the demo or had anything to do with Lemon Stand… but I did read a while back in an e-commerce discussion that Lemon Stand was not that good as a ecommerce solution, its just dressed up nicely with css, jquery and ajax – and this was from someone who had been running online stores for a while…. I’ll try and find the page again and post it

Ha, that’s not true at all, Tye.
LS is focused and providing the best eCommerce solution to developers creating stores for small business owners.
There’s some features you may not find, but it’s highly extensible and constantly being improved. Drop by the Marketplace and post your ideas for us, and Marketplace developers.
Full exposure, I’m a developer there. :)

Hey Eric – thanks for taking time to drop by – I will take a look as I am researching a suitable e-commerce solution to use for my clients.
As I said I found this information whilst researching the above, but unfortunately cannot find the discussion anymore and cannot remember my search terms I used.
There are lots of ‘positive reviews’ though – but I wonder if that is due to your affiliate program – in cases like this I tend not to be able to see the wood for the trees, but that’s just me.

Nah, the affiliate program was recently released, and only 4 people are utilizing it so far. We’ve had an enthusiastic developer community for quite some time.
If you do find the discussion, I’d be interested. I have Google Alerts up on our products, so I’ve seen pretty much all the discussions. There’s only one negative I’ve found, a blog post comparing his favorite cart, but he was dead wrong, as the comments had shown. Although that was over a year ago, the platform is even better now, of course.
