Migrating to a VPS causes problem

I have migrated several of my sites in a VPS. One of those sites is powered by Textpattern. What I did was simply moving all the files to the new server, and updated the database. The site can be found here > Guy Verville.

When making a diagnostic, I get this error message: path_to_site est inaccessible: /var/www/vhosts/guyverville.com/httpdocs. (path to site is unavailable)

This causes several problem. If you click one of the links on the left, there is a significant lag, which was not present on the previous shared host. The second problem is that Facebook or Google can’t embed the links! (Except the root http://guyverville.com).

I then tried this: installing Textpattern in a subdirectory. Everything is OK, no error messages. When I compare both diagnostic results, i find this:

Dummy site, but working perfectly:

Textpattern path: /var/www/vhosts/guyverville.com/httpdocs/essaitxp/textpattern
Permanent link mode: section_id_title
open_basedir: /var/www/vhosts/guyverville.com/httpdocs/:/tmp/
Temporary directory path: /var/www/vhosts/guyverville.com/httpdocs/essaitxp/textpattern/tmp
Site URL: www.guyverville.com/essaitxp

I think the $path_to_site should read differently for the main site, but I am not sure at all. Any idea what is wrong?

Thank you a lot, this resolved the slow issue. Any idea for the other point?
