Upgrade problem

I just upgraded from version 4.0.8 to current version – my website is still functioning well but I can no longer access textpattern to make changes to my site – when I go to the page I get the following message
Fatal error: Call to undefined function include_element() in /public_html/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(653) : eval()’d code on line 1923
Can anyone help as I don’t know how to fix this.

Thanks
Norjin

Re: Upgrade problem

This is likely caused by a plugin. You should still be able to get to the plugins panel at http://yourdomain.com/textpattern/index.php?event=plugin.

Try disableing admin side plugins one at a time to see which is the offending culprit.

Re: Upgrade problem

Hi Matt

Thanks that’s great advice. The offending plugin was zem_event which is now disabled but I’ve lost my calendar in the process. I can’t find an upgrade replacement on the resources site – can you offer any help with that?

Thanks for much

Re: Upgrade problem

Just a follow on message, now when I close down textpattern my site returns closed for maintenance on every page and won’t run – any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Upgrade problem

Did you activate rvm_maintenance? When active it puts your site in maintenance mode.

As for zem_event, try looking at and maybe positing in it’s thread maybe someone has solved it.
