Messy as default

Many a time we had to help people here complaining that their first install is leading to 404s only to find out that their hosting environment does not support clean urls. For this, I would suggest that messy url schema should come as the default.

I wonder how many people do not come here for support and give up the system thinking that it just does not work for them.

Hi Jukka and happy new year

I might be making an assumption here but I do not think that somebody who can not go to admin to change the schema would understand about seo and clean urls.

Somehow I think that the initial install should work out of the box no matter of the environment’s limitations. An additional line could be added to the first article which mentions how the schema can change but also that not all hosts support it.
