eion. Your image, simply.

I’ve built it.

eion, your image simply.

Eion uses the multi-site capabilities of Textpattern.
Each site is built and focuses on the images added by the users.

Starting within the same base, each site will then grow in a unique fashion, in a unique ecosystem with the content added by the user, mainly images.

Eion is running for six month now, time for me to iron everything and make it grow.

Eion is currently used by: architects, artists, photographs, fashion creators, illustrators.

A few examples:

- Heiner Babon Architekt
- Davaï
- JhAm architecture
- Pablo Flaiszman

Et voilà.

Re: eion. Your image, simply.

Nice! Beautiful work. It would also be good if there was a central space where all sites were linked.

Very nice style and very interesting structure! Love the text overlays!
(Wanted to do something like that for a website)…

Re: eion. Your image, simply.

Nice sites – wish you luck with it all.

My only suggestion would be to increase the contrast of the test against the background to make it a little more accessible. It’s very thin, and I’m struggling to read it – especially the top navigation bar.

All the best,
Doug.

Manaus, thank you.

Doug, thank you as well… For info “all” is a dozen of clients and almost 1000 pages created by these users.

May I ask you on what Os, browser and screen-type are you experiencing this contrast you mention in your post ?

Take a look at:
http://www.snook.ca/technical/colour_contrast/colour.html

Grabbing some text colours off the page, both #7D7D74 text and #66665E text on a background of #262626 is a fair way off accessibility compliance.

The thin style of the font makes the contrast appear even weaker.

For info, I’m looking at this on a Windows XP machine and Firefox 6.0.2. ( Interestingly, if I look at the page in IE the custom font is displayed a little thicker. ) The screen is a 3 year old laptop – so it’s not the best screen in the world, but I’m not sure you want to limit your audience to only those with decent screens? ;-)

I’ve also got 40+ year old eye-balls. Can’t do much to get an upgrade on those either!

Hope this helps. Please don’t take this as criticism, I like the the style/design.

fwiw, from another Windoze / FF user (yeah, sucks huh), I agree the grey-on-black is a tough read after a few screens.

I also got a bit lost with the various icons and competing navigation elements that popup and move about, but I have to face the fact that perhaps I’m just not down with the cool people any more.

Ambitious project though: love the direction and it’s certainly swish.

Of course not !

It’s very hard to predict how a font will behave with new and future versions of browsers, here FF. The font used here renders so differently between different Os and especially in Ie.

Thanks for pointing this case for FF 6.0, I’ll have to dig into this case.

Regardless of the font, it would still be worth turning up the contrast on the text a bit :-)

No that doesn’t suck at all Stef, thank you.
As for the cool I don’t get the point. I’m not building something for the hype.

I want it functional, sharp and fast.

Ambitious project though: love the direction and it’s certainly swish.

Thanks.
