What does put non-breaking space into titles?

On this site the article titles in the left sidebar have a   ( ) so they doesn’t wrap nicely. I did use upm_textile for a while … maybe that’s the reason why, but … I can’t get ride of them … !?

Edit. removed the HTML entity from the title and replaced it with a search friendly term. The forum software for some reason doesn’t seem to escape HTML entities in topic titles. Weird -Gocom

You can turn the feature off in Advance preferences (Admin/Preferences/Advanced). Look for Prevent widowed words in article titles? option and set it to No.

Re: What does put non-breaking space into titles?

@Gocom … thanks! Learned something new again … :)

Preferences: Prevent widowed words in article titles
The term “widowed word” refers to the single final word of an article title that is shown on a new line when the article title is too long to fit on one line. Widows are considered sloppy typography and should be avoided. Setting this preference to ‘yes’ will ensure that long article lines will never have only the last word on a separate line. Instead, the two last words will appear on a separate line.
