Where colud be the bug?
Any change you used sed_cleaner version 0.4.1 or older? All versions prior to v0.5 “destroy” (just empties which isn’t what it should do) the category table, and after using the plugin you won’t be able to see any created categories. If you did use older version of the plugin, restore a backup of your database (or re-install) and try the newest version of sed_cleaner (v0.7).

Re: sed_cleaner
Or simply create a “root” category in phpmyadmin and assign each other category at “root” as parent, in phpmyadmin.

Re: sed_cleaner
Hi Edoardo (wornout)
Please let me know which version of sed_cleaner you used. Jukka is correct, some of the older versions had this bug and I suspect you used an old version. Could you try again with a new site and the latest version of sed_cleaner please.
Let me know if that doesn’t work.

Re: sed_cleaner
Hi guys!
I’ve used 0.4.1.23 version for initial clean.
I solved the problem creating the root categories like jpdupont suggested.
For new site I’ll use the last version of sed_cleaner and let you know what I’ll get!
Thanks for all support!

Re: sed_cleaner
Hi Edoardo,
yes, you used the last version with that bug — you should be fine with the latest version.

Re: sed_cleaner
Hello.
I get the following message on a multisite installation (4.4.1):
Fatal error: Call to a member function close() on a non-object in /home/...../textpattern/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(653) : eval()'d code on line 191
Please, help, the plugin is GREAT and needed here :)
Yours
Adam
EDIT: I found the problem:
in
function sed_cleaner_gogogo()
you get
$files_path = $prefs['file_base_path'];
BUT in multisite setup the default path is WRONG
so BEFORE running the plugin you have to go to preferences and alter the path
then the plugin works ok.
A.

Re: sed_cleaner
@bici,
Wow, someone’s still using this! To celebrate the fact that it’s not dead, I’ve updated the links to the videos in the opening post and in the github readme.
Thank you.
