Different layout for mobile devices?
Is there a way to set up a different set of templates for people on mobile devices? or a way to set up a subdomain like m.opalcat.com that had a different installation of textpattern but that drew the articles from the same database or something? I can’t word this right but I hope you understand what I mean.

adi_mobile will let you use conditional tags to create seperate versions of your design.

Another thing is you can use a responsive theme like Yoko for Textpattern; that way you don’t limit yourself to “big screen and small screen” but instead get something more adaptive.

Re: Different layout for mobile devices?
I don’t want to use someone else’s theme—I have put years of work into making my site very personalized and designed by me. I’ll check out that plugin MattD, thanks.

I don’t think Marc meant use someone else’s theme but to make your own design be responsive which is the current trend for mobile and desktop design.
Yoko is just one of many examples of responsive design.
