[wiki] <txp:recent_articles>

In the wiki it states that

The recent_articles tag is a single tag which is used to produce a list of permanent links to recent articles by title.

I would just like to make sure that the tag does not work as a container tag too!

Re: [wiki] <txp:recent_articles>

I tried it just to see:

<txp:recent_articles />
<txp:recent_articles><txp:posted /></txp:recent_articles>

Both versions produced the exact same output. So, Yes, it works, but it makes no difference as to the output generated.

Re: [wiki] <txp:recent_articles>

Hi Michael

Thanks for confirming.

Similar to my test:)

So the next question: Wouldn’t it be more consistent with the rest of txp if it also worked as container tag?

(Edit: never mind, didn’t test properly.)

Recent_articles doesn’t offer anything more to what article_custom does. Wondering if the tag is there just for backwards compatibility. It probably is. Updating it wouldn’t give anything new.
