Re: mem_postmaster - Postmaster Revamp

 1. is a right single quotation mark, so TXP’s output is absolutely correct. Try viewing the page from another computer. If all is OK there and in case the faulty display happens on a Mac, I’d say try deleting your font cache.

In bad weather I never leave home without wet_plugout, smd_where_used and adi_form_links

Re: mem_postmaster - Postmaster Revamp

I’m not on a Mac… I will check on my mom’s computer as I’m visiting her at the moment. Can you delete the font cache on Windows Vista? I’ve never heard of such a thing.

Here is my form right now (the bab_pm_data tag still isn’t working except for the link to the article, so it’s not displaying a name. I substituted other tags for the rest and they seem to be outputting the right stuff):

OPALCAT.COM NEW ARTICLE

Dear <txp:bab_pm_data display="subscriberFirstName" />,

You are receiving this email because you have requested to be notified when new articles are posted at opalcat.com.

A new article, "<txp:title />", has been posted. Here is an excerpt (please excuse any strange symbols in this email, we're working out a bug with our mail processing program):

"<txp:rss_auto_excerpt words="75" showlinkwithexcerpt="0" striptags="img" />"

You can read the rest of the article here: <txp:bab_pm_data display="link" />.

If you no longer wish to receive email from me about this, I am sad to see you go but I understand.

Re: mem_postmaster - Postmaster Revamp

(But I REALLY need to fix the problem of people not being subscribed to the lists! New users show up with no lists when I view subscribers, when there are three lists to choose from)

Re: mem_postmaster - Postmaster Revamp

Hi Katherine,

I just tested your code replacing the rss_auto_excerpt with txp:excerpt as i don’t use the particular plugin and it all worked just fine.

re the lists. I agree and hope that someone will come up with a solution which was as simple as in the original plugin.

Re: mem_postmaster - Postmaster Revamp

It’s even putting in codes where there should just be a space! I just got this as the title in an email:

A new article, "Choosing a New Android& #160;Phone", has been posted.

(I added a space after the & because the board was rendering the code as a space)

Re: mem_postmaster - Postmaster Revamp

&160; is the same as which is a non-breaking space. So it’s putting a space where there should be a space, but it’s not really showing up as a space. :-)

Re: mem_postmaster - Postmaster Revamp

Try this tutorial in setting up a composite (html + txt) email.

Note that subscriberName changed to subscriberFirstName

But it isn’t working. It just puts a blank space where the name goes. :(

Re: mem_postmaster - Postmaster Revamp

When the emails are sending, the page that shows has a broken image that is located at http://opalcat.com/images/percentImage.png (but it isn’t there)… does anyone know where this image is located? If I had the image I could certainly put it there.
