Blocks/Regions in TextPattern
Does TextPattern have an equilivant “design tool” that would serve the same function blocks in drupal do? Thsi is to say, is there a backend interface to control the prescense and/or position/order of things like Twitter feeds, video embeds, “latest news (blog), “most popular…” ? If so, what extensions/plugins are required?

Re: Blocks/Regions in TextPattern
Not really. Although I’ve seen people do creative things with ordering, like adapting plugins that allow you to drag & drop articles for this purpose.

Re: Blocks/Regions in TextPattern
maruchan thought of the method nabrown posted here which should be adaptable to drag order more than only sections. But things don’t happen automatically, you’ll have to create an article for each item, which has “certain drawbacks” for dynamic site contents or larger amounts of items.

The simple answer is a big NO.
Would forms even be the right aspect of TextPattern?
<txp:output_form />
would be one of the possibilities to arrange ‘blocks. Another one is of course a clever use of CSS IDs :)

Re: Blocks/Regions in TextPattern
I will look into this tag. Thank you. I made a few forms for some example tutorials and they do work much like blocks, if not exactly like them as they appear in Drupal.
