how to attach an article to more then one section

i’m brand new to textpattern so i apologize in advance if this has been covered already but i couldn’t find the answer on the forum.

i created a template and have a sidebar which i want to display on every page but still have the content managed by the client. i do not want to give them access to the presentation tab just the content tab. when i create an article i can only select one “section” for the article to go under which limits it just one page but i want it to display on all pages. how do get around this? any help if appreciated.

here is the link to my template if it helps to make sense of what i’m trying to say: http://www.dhs-wine.com/textpattern/

thanks.

Re: how to attach an article to more then one section

Hi NicChenOO. Welcome to Textpattern!

What you need to do is use the <txp:article_custom /> tag and use a section="" attribute. Like so: <txp:article_custom section="your_section_name" />

Place that in your page template/s and your articles will display on any page of your choice.
