Yoko for Textpattern
Thanks to the help of the community I am happy to announce that a port of the Yoko theme for Wordpress is available for Textpattern now.
Please find all info and downloads for Yoko for Textpattern at http://yoko.yauh.de
The theme is very easy to customize, uses a responsive HTML5/CSS3 based layout and offers some interesting details. It is intended to be used for a blog site and it also brings several plugins that ease the creation of content in the backend as well as some social sharing features.
Enjoy this theme (which is licensed under the GPL by the way) and enjoy customizing it to your liking. Let me know of your site if you use it for your blog.

Note: I am currently not actively using Textpattern, so I am not in the forums very often

Hmm. When I view the sample site on my iPhone, the categories area becomes garbled. Same happens in desktop browsers if I shrink it down.

Thanks, I shall look into this. The original theme does not show this behavior indeed.
Update: Ok, this is fixed in release 1.01 of the theme. Thanks for bringing this up.

Re: Yoko for Textpattern
Hi Stephan,
the more I look at your demo site, the more this theme is growing on me.
Noticed a problem when I view http://yoko.yauh.de/articles/installation-of-the-theme in FF 3.6. In this case there is just one sidebar (starting with ‘about this site’) and then an empty column to the right of that. The extra text then follows after the comments section. Looking at the same page in Chrome has two columns to the right of the body text, as I would have expected.

Re: Yoko for Textpattern
Thanks for catching this Firefox issue. I still need to investigate a little bit and find out how to make it look nice in FF for individual articles. Any hints are greatly appreciated
Version 1.02 fixes this issue. Layout was broken due to one missing closing div tag in yoko_authorinfo and two missing closing div tags in the flickr widget.

Hey Stephan,
looks like you nailed it — seems to work fine in FF now.

Re: Yoko for Textpattern
I just noticed that Yoko made Smashing Magazine’s List of Free WordPress Themes: 2011 Edition. If anyone is looking for a theme to convert, that might be a good place to start.
Edit: It is also on 60+ New WordPress themes, summer 2011 edition

Re: Yoko for Textpattern
In fact, I first googled the best themes for Wordpress myself before deciding which theme to convert. Heck, I even convinced myself to install Wordpress on my own host to see the theme in action.
Think what you will about WP, but they do have some really talented designers pushing out amazing themes.
