Beta tester for TXP theme wanted
Hi,
I just finished my very first textpattern theme that was actually ported from a really nice wordpress theme. I threw in some extra functionality and ported all functions that seemed possible, now I am looking to polish the theme.
It is a free (as in GPL’ed) theme but before I release it to the public I want to make sure one or two other people familiar with TXP have taken a look and checked whether it installs ok for them, displays ok and so on.
If you feel you can spare one or more hours in the next days I would be thrilled to send you the files to install this theme. Unfortunately I do not have all documentation ready so you should be experienced with themes (knowing cxc_templates makes it easier) and some textpattern functionality to be able to see if there are any major bugs left.

I am still in the process of wrapping up the documentation. If you know what you are doing and have cxc_templates you can grab it on github

Just updated the github to Beta2. Facebook Like button is fixed, OpenGraph works nicely and w3c validator complains less. You can grab it here: https://github.com/perlmonkey/txp-yoko-theme
In order to install you find the very first and extremely rough notes about installation in the yoko_install_guide (trust me, until the actual release this is going to be more user friendly, for now I just want to make sure this theme does not scare newcomers to TXP right out of the box).

Until now I have not heard anything back. Did anyone successfully install it yet? Any positive or negative results?

First thing – installed it and got
A problem occured while loading the plugin: arc_twitter -> Notice: Undefined index: arc_short_url on line 39

It went away as soon as I clicked on another tab, but you might want to include that in the readme.

Next thing – reloaded the home page and got a whole lot of error messages…

Did those aks_cache error messages go away after you re-loaded the page? I saw them as well, but then they went away. Not sure if it is required to navigate to Extension—>AKS Cache once to get it set up properly.

Navigating to the tab did indeed fix the problem. One more thing for the readme.
