rss auto-fetching

I need to fetch my forum boards feeds to my site home page.
Is there any simple plugin not using external search-engines (e.g. simple pie, ..).

YaBB (it can’t use a DB at now). It provides also a comprehensive RSS feed and a feed for each of the boards.

I used to use simplepie but I also needed a cron script to refresh the feed fetching. Would smd_xml be of help to you?
